I have posted a set of PowerPoint slides based on Chapter 7 of the text.
You can download them as

However, I do not expect to get very far through these today and may be
changing them between now and Wednesday to better match
the specific snytax required by MySQL.

Slides based on chapter 3 are available as
slides/ch04.ppt.

Midterm 1 is on Wednesday September 24, 2008 during the regularly
scheduled class meeting time.
It will focus on the first three chapters of the Hoffer text
and material presented in class.

This Fall, the Center for Information Systems is offering the following awards,
the first of which is for a Ph.D. student and the others are all for undergrads:
· 1 Ph.D. student support award worth $500 (applications due October 17)
· 3 tuition scholarships worth $1,000, $750, and $500 (applications due October 17)
· 3 leadership awards worth $50 each (nominations due November 21)
· 3 certification exam reimbursements worth up to $150 each (application deadline December 12)

You should be able to use this to zip up all homeworks.
