When should I consider joining a research group ?

Participation in a research project is an extraordinary valuable part of your education. You should consider joining a research group as early as your sophomore year.

How can I get involved in research ?

There are different ways to get involved in research: You can enroll for "Individual Investigation" (CHEM 40796), write a "Senior Honors Thesis" (Minimum Overall GPA 3.2; Science GPA 3.4), or you can be supported from a research grant (depending on availability of funds).

Why should I get involved in Dr. Gericke's research ?

You will be trained in modern biophysical laboratory techniques and you will use a variety of sophisticated research instruments. Potentially, your research results will be part of a publication in an international journal or you will present your data at a scientific research conference.

What kind of research will I do?

Your research project will be embedded in the general research directions of the lab, i.e., you will conduct biomedical research. You will develop a research plan in close consultation with Dr. Gericke. Please visit us for more information.
