Charles B. Stewart
Service: Army - World War II
Born: Empire, OH; graduated Toronto High School Class of 1919
Resided: East Liverpool, OH until relocating to Orange County, CA and Charleston, SC
Retired: 1978 to Fort Myers, FL


Charles was born in Empire, OH in 1910 to Jason and Emma (Beebout) Stewart. One of six children, he graduated from Toronto High School in 1919. After graduation, he enlisted and served the US Army in World War II. During the war, he took up photography and brought home many photos of the beauty of Europe and the horrors of war. He shared this hobby with his brother, Robert, who served in the US Navy during WWII.

Upon returning stateside, he resided in East Liverpool, OH before moving to Orange County, CA, then Charleston, SC and finally Fort Myers, FL, where he retired to in 1976. Charles passed away in 1989.
