Basis of your Grade in the Paleo Lab Report

Purpose:  The purpose of this exercise is to work together as a group to create a dichotomous key, one page report and a ten minute presentation on the fossils your group collected on our fieldtrip in October.

These presentations are graded following discussion with the T.A., and are ranked relative to each other.

1. Did you demonstrate that you made use of the available sources, including Fossils of Ohio, on-line references and fossil photo galleries recommended in lab?

2.  Did you define your terms that you used in your dichotomous key?

3.  Does your dichotomous key successfully identify the fossils you collected?

4.  Do you have a written presentation and screen presentation free of spelling and grammar errors?

5.  Did you demonstrate that you worked together as a team, with approximately equal contributions to the finished report?
