Into the Fifth Year III

Ava gets to check on Brother Alec often during the day, as the door to his room connects to the gym.  Here, Miss Elise gets Alec ready for us to take him home.

Here's something that we haven't done in a while...choose a pie at Baker's Square.  Ava sees the one that she wants.  Judging by the lemon meringue card on this side, it seems that the one she's reacting to here is the same one that she reacted to two years ago in this picture.

Yep..that's the one.

Chocolate!

Watching what is currently her favorite movie of all time, the new Barbie Fairytopia movie entitled Magic of the Rainbow.  Ava watched it nine times in the first four days that she had it, after which she'd committed most of the dialogue to memory and could say the lines along with the characters.

She even has her own "Magic of the Rainbow" dress already, thanks to Mommy...

...it has wings, too.

Collecting some of the first daffodils of spring in late March in the backyard.

At the end of the day at daycare, Ava points out how the kids in the infant room have been turned into bunnies for Easter....

...and that this one looks very familiar.

Brother Alec has a very genuine and intense interest in everything that his big sister does, as you can see.

Fun with the paint pens on a Saturday morning using her favorite pink paper that Uncle Brian got for her.

Weekday mornings at about 7:30am usually look like this to me--unposed--as I get them both dressed.

Doing an impression of me with my soon-to-be-former glasses....her idea.

Another June recital is just around the corner...

I am being told which stones to step on, and how quickly it must be done, and that I'm simply not doing a good job at it.

A minute later, we sit on a bench and do a double self-portrait.

And then we do a silly one, for good measure.

One of her beloved dolls...Cinderella, of course...who looks like she needs to eat a sammich, if you ask me.
