In 1991, the 1 car garage roof needed replacement and I soon found out the sheathing and rafters underneath needed major repairs. So I decided to take the whole roof off, add an additional 10' x 20' slab on the side for a workshop, and rebuild the roof over all of it.  Oh yeah, I upgraded the house electric from 60A to 100A and ran electric and phone to the garage as well.
