After deciding in 2003 that I wanted to be a librarian for the rest of my life, I applied to Kent State University's (KSU) library program in the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS). I began the program in June of 2004, and will graduate in August 2005 with a Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS). Listed below are the courses and workshops I took each semester towards this degree. The course number links to the course or workshop description catalog, and the Instructor's name links to their profile web page within the KSU-SLIS website.
By obtaining this degree, I intend to continue my library career in a small public library, working at the adult reference desk. I am also interested in the technology aspects of a library, and am also interested in maintaining library websites as an access point to the library's catalog, research databases, electronic and web resources, and general library information.
Should you be interested in hiring me to work in your library, please take some time to review my resume, and then contact me for an interview.
