Gerundives

To form the gerundive, take the first principal part, drop the -o, add the thematic vowel (-a- for 1st conjugation, -e- for 2nd, 3rd, 3rd -io, and 4th conjugations), add -nd- and the case, number and gender ending (same forms as adjectives of the 1st/2nd declensions):

 

Verb Participle
amo, amare, amavi, amatum amandus, -a, -um
debeo, debere, debui, debitum debendus, -a, -um
rego, regere, rexi, rectum regendus, -a, -um
capio, capere, cepi, captum capiendus, -a, -um
audio, audire, audivi, auditum audiendus, -a, -um
