| After the Colosseum, we will visit the ruins of the grand imperial palaces on the Palatine Hill, overlooking the Roman Forum and the great Circus Maximus, where professional teams raced chariots before crowds of more than 200,000 people. |

| After the Palatine, we will visit the Capitoline Museum atop the Capitoline hill overlooking the Forum. The museum has an excellent collection of ancient art and inscriptions. |

| If there is time, we will visit the four-story ancient Roman apartment building near the Ara Coeli staircase at the base of the Capitoline Hill. |
