I am a doctoral student in the School of Communication Studies, currently working on my dissertation prospectus and checking out the job market. About four years ago, I came to the U.S. from Romania, where I graduated with a diploma in Sociology and worked as a sociologist for a couple of years. Stephen Covey's book (7 principles of highly successful people) and my own observations on the (sometimes incredible) frequency of communication problems made me wanting to study communication scientifically. Here I am, after for years and with the perspective of becoming soon a Doctor in Communication! I learned a lot, and still feel that the question that brought me here (why are so many communication problems?) is only starting to be clarified.

I first designed this web page as an exercise for a class that I taught (Foundations of Communication). Later, it became a way of studying personal web pages, and now it is my voice here, in the U.S., and around the world.
