Aaron Armelie


Aaron Armelie is a sixth year clinical graduate student.  He received his bachelors degree in psychology at Kent State University.  Aaron is currently examining blame attributions and posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms in HIV+ individuals. 

Jessica Boarts


Jessica Boarts is a sixth year experimental graduate student.  She received her bachelors degree in psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.  Jessica is currently working on a project examining cortisol as a mediator between PTSD and HIV disease progression.

Keri Pinna


Keri Pinna is currently a sixth year clinical graduate student.  She received her bachelors degree in psychology at University of North Dakota .  Keri is currently involved with a study examining cortisol secretion during task performance in depressed and nondepressed adolescents.

Sarah Ostrowski


Sarah Ostrowski is currently a sixth year clinical graduate student.  She received her bachelors degree in psychology at University of Kentucky and her masters in psychology at Cleveland State University.  Sarah is working on the project examining psychological and physiological correlates of PTSD in children and their parents.

Ihori Kobayashi


Ihori Kobayashi is a fifth year clinical graduate student. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master's degree in clinical psychology from Southwest Missouri State University (current Missouri State University). Ihori is currently working on a research project examining the relationship between sleep disturbances soon after a traumatic injury\u8232 and the later development of PTSD symptoms.

Leah Supanich

Leah Supanich is a fourth year experimental graduate student. She received her Bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Wisconsin- Whitewater in 2003 and her MA from Kent State in 2007. Her research interests include examination of risk factors for PTSD. In particular, Leah has focused on the impact of prior trauma history and the pathways through which it may increase vulnerability to later traumatic stress. In addition, she is investigating the role of peritraumatic symptoms and appraisals as explanatory mechanisms for gender differences in PTSD risk. Leah also recently completed data collection on a chronic PTSD sample and plans to examine the effects of cortisol and other psychophysiological variables on PTSD and its comorbid disorders.

Crystal Gabert


Crystal Gabert is a second year experimental graduate student.  She received her bachelor’s degree in psychobiology and psychology at Lebanon Valley College. Crystal initially started to look at how different functions of social support moderate the relationship between prior traumatic events and PTSD. Crystal is now currently working on a study examining different functions of social support as a moderator between subjective injury severity and PTSD symptoms.

Suhrida Yadavalli


Suhrida Yadavalli is a second year clinical graduate student. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from St. Francis College, India and her Masters degree in Management from Case Western Reserve University. She is currently examining the relationship between neuropsychological function and medication adherence in veterans living with HIV. 

Adam Morris


Adam Morris is a first child clinical graduate student. He received his Bachelor's degree from Hamilton College.

Maria Pacella


Maria Pacella is a first year experimental graduate student. She received her bachelors degree in psychology at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Her research interests include examining dissociation as it relates to future PTSD symptoms and physical health. She is also involved in a multiple sclerosis study conducted through the Mind Brain Consortium in Akron.
