To learn how to calculate your final course grade use the following example. Remember, the grades used here are just examples.

STEP ONE: Add all of your grades together.

Paper number one. 3.3
Paper number two. 2.7
Paper number three. 3.0
Participation grade. 2.2
Final exam grade. 3.8
Sum total of all grades. 15.0
STEP TWO: Divide the sum total of all grades by five.
Sum total divided by five. 15.0 / 5 = 3.0
Course grade. 3.0
STEP THREE: Find the course grade in the scale below to find your letter grade.
Course grade = Letter grade. 3.0 = B

Grading Scale for this Course
A = 3.5 to 4.0
B = 2.7 to 3.4
C = 1.8 to 2.6
D = 1.0 to 1.7
F = 0.0 to 0.9
