The fees below are estimates, but they will be pretty close to the final costs for you. Students who enroll in this program may be eligible for financial aid or a student loan. Check with your university's financial aid office to find out more. If they have any questions, don't hesitate to have them contact Dennis Hart at dhart@kent.edu or 330-244-3440.

Some suggestions and Tips

How to pay for the KSIK program. (1) All fees are paid directly to Kent State University Stark Campus. (2) The KSU Stark tuition is paid as normal tuition for the summer term. (3) All other KSIK costs are paid directly to KSU Stark, prior to the deadline. Pretty simple isn't it?

REMEMBER! YOU are responsible for getting and paying for your passport and the visa to Korea.

* Click here for the visa at the Korean Consulate in Chicago.
Spending Money. In addition to the fees, tuition, travel costs, etc. that are anticipated on this program, you will probably want to bring along some spending money so you can get away from the dorm, travel on your own, go out with new friends, and shop, shop, shop 'till you drop, drop, drop. If so, then I suggest you visit the "After Arriving There" web page to find out the currency exchange rates, prices in South Korea. and such. For most folks on this trip, they will probably spend anywhere from $600 to $1,000 in addition to the program costs. South Korea certainly uses credit cards. But you will also need some cash as well.
