Inquiry-Based Earth-System Science will
provide a unique opportunity for in-service teachers to obtain graduate credit
while updating their expertise in Earth Science. Please follow the
procedure below to enroll in the course. We look forward to seeing you on
August 29th!
I. Applying to Kent State University
In-service teachers who wish to take a limited number of credit hours (6 or
fewer), may apply to Kent State University as a Guest Graduate Student.

links at the bottom, choose the College of Arts and Sciences). Guest
Graduate Student applications are processed quickly the KSU's Department of
Research and Graduate Studies (RAGS).
II. Tuition and Fees
Once admitted, tuition and fees are paid through the
Bursar's Office.
III. Registration
Registration is available online via
Web For Students.
Please note that this course is offered at the upper-level Undergraduate,
Masters and Ph.D. levels and is cross-listed between KSU’s Departments of
Geology and Geography. Please register for ONE of the following:
GEOL 40095 (Undergrad) or 50095 (Masters) or 60095 (PhD) or
GEOG 40195 (Undergrad) or 50195 (Masters) or 70195 (PhD)
In-Service teachers should register at the appropriate level (Masters or PhD).
In-Service teachers may register for either the geology or the geography course
listing, whichever best suits their professional development needs. (There
is no difference in course content or requirements).
IV. Come to Class!
We will usually meet in room 305 of McGilvrey Hall on the KSU Kent Campus.

Parking Services. Evening/weekend only permits are available and will
probably fit the needs of in-service teachers enrolled for the course.
