Accommodation for Students with Special Needs

During 2005, I was one of five Kent State faculty and staff recognized by the student organization Ability Unlimited for my commitment to helping students of all abilities succeed in my classes.  Since arriving at Kent State, I have worked with students with a broad range of special needs, including visual, auditory, mobility, and learning challenges .  I am committed to the concept of leveling the playing field for students of all abilities and I am happy to work with you to help you succeed in this course.  If you need an accommodation for a special need, please let me know (note that, for some accommodations, you must be registered with Student Accessibility Services, see the statement below).

For the record, here's the official University statement on accommodations...
In accordance with University policy, if you have a documented disability and require accommodations to obtain equal access in this course, please contact the instructor at the beginning of the semester or when given an assignment for which an accommodation is required. Students with disabilities must verify their eligibility through the Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS).
