• Final grades are posted. You should have received an email from me with comments on the last homeworks. As always, let me know if you have a question or concern about any grade.

• Unfortunately, I find it necessary to change plans for the remainder of the semester due to circumstances beyond my control. Please take note of the following:
  1. There will be no class on Tuesday December 5, 2006. Most likely, I will have to be in Cleveland the entire day.

  2. Until you hear otherwise, I cannot hold any office hours.

  3. It is clear I will be unable to devote any time to grading homeworks until late this week at the earliest. I cannot ask you to complete homework 8 without first receiving feedback on your solution to homework 7. Therefore, homework 8 is cancelled. If you want to talk about a solution to homework 8, I would hope to be in a position where I could do so next week. But, I cannot make any promises at this point.

  4. There will be two quizzes on Thursday December 7, 2001. Everyone is required to take Quiz #5. Quiz #6 is optional. (i.e., you do not have to take it.) If you choose to take quiz #6, your five best quiz scores will be used to determine your course grade. In effect, this gives you the opportunity to drop your lowest quiz score. Thus taking quiz #6 can only help your grade. It cannot hurt it.

• Homework 8 is posted.

• It is now too late to turn in homework 7.

• Quiz 4 scores are posted

• The sample program illustrating using multiple forms within one project is available. Download TwoFormsExample.zip and then unzip. The resulting folder TwoFormsExample contains the solution, with comments, I went over today.

• Homework 7 is posted

• The next quiz will be on Tuesday November 14, 2006.

• The source code for the Girl Scout cookie sales program can be obtained by downloading and unzipping gstilde.zip. You'll find the data file in the folder girlscoutcookiesalestilde that is created when you unzip gstilde.zip.

• Comments for Hw 5 have been sent and the grades are posted. Please let me know if you feel there is a problem with your score.

• Homework 6 has bee posted.

  There will be a quiz on Tuesday October 24, 2006. It will cover the material for the first five homeworks.

• Grades and comments for home work 4 are available.

• Scores for Quiz 2 are posted.

• Homework 5 is posted.

• Home Work 3 scores are posted and comments have been sent. Please let me know if there are problems with either.

• Quiz 2 will be on Thursday September, 28, 2006.

• Home Work 4 is posted.

• Scores for Quiz 1 are posted. The quiz will be returned tomorrow, in class.

• Scores for homework 2 are posted on the grades page.

• If you did not receive an email with comments, that probably means you scored 10 out of 10 points. If the grades page you shows received fewer than 10 points and you did not get an email explaining why, please let me know.

• Don't forget Quiz 1 is tomorrow.

• Homework 3 is posted.

• Quiz 1 will be on Tuesday September 12, 2006. It will cover material related homework 2 and the syllabus. If you are comfortable homework 2 and hae read the syllabus, you should be in fine shape for it.

• If you cannot find the graphics for the pictures on homework 2, You can substitute any other graphics you would like. Or, you could right click and save these two graphics on your pc.           

• Grades are posted for homework 1. You should have received an email with your GradeID for 24070. If you did not, please let me know.

• Homeworks 1 and 2 are posted. Follow the homework link to read them.

• You should check this page frequently. I will assume that you are aware of any announcement after it has been posted for 48 hours. 

• This page will be used to post announcements relevant to this class. For example, when a homework is posted to the web or graded or a quiz is announced, this will be noted here. Check it frequently.
