'Wen' is the left part of my first name in Chinese, . It means "word, language, literature, liberal arts, wisdom, civil, soft power, pease, etc..."

'Wu' is the right part of my first name

in Chinese, . It means "force, weapon, arsenal, martial arts, prowess, military, brutal force, war, etc..."

Just like ying-yang that indicates objects with oppsite properties, this pair, "wen-wu", has similar meaning. In the logo, these two words shown at the side doors represent two parts of my research, microfluidics and laser tweezers, respectively. Although quite different, these two components can be symphonized just as and are in harmony within my first name, "bin", .

'Han' is my middle name in Chinese. It means "containing". It also means "conduit", which perfectly describes a professor's role between knowledge and students.
