As a representative of the Japanese govenment and people in Japan, I'd like to greet you and the poeple of China and celebrate
this momorable occasion together on the 35th anniversary of the normalization of relations between Japan and China. |
| 35年前の日中共同声明により両国間に吊り橋が架かり、日中平和友好条約により鉄橋が作られました。

The Joint Communique of the Govenment of Japan and the Govenment of the People's Republic of China built a suspension bridge
between our nations 35 years ago, and the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between Japan and China changed it into an iron bridge. |
| その後、日々多くの両国国民がこの橋をわたり続け、今日では毎日一万人以上が往来するまでになり、両国の貿易額も年間2500億ドルに達しました。
