One feels sympathy when looking at a key chain with the keys that a family used to lock their house, cabinets, and tables during the evacuation, the purse where the lady of the house put those keys, the rucksack where she put her clothes, and the boots she wore when leaving home.

An assortment of materials - battle maps, pictures of the participants in the battle of Kalinin, their personal effects, weapons, and uniforms - allows one to imagine the difficult days of October of 1941 when the Red Army units opposed the superior forces of the Wehrmacht in the city of Kalinin. The next display shows that after the enemy had seized the central part of the region on October 14, the Kalinin Front was opened to unite all forces acting in the area of Kalinin.
