Hey, i finally got a copy of that live video (from colorado, '97) that they
gave out at some Best Buy's with PF a while back. Anyway, I was watching it
(horrible quality but live nonetheless) and i noticed that it was a rare
occasion on which the Zippers had short sleeves on.

I noticed that Tom has a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. Anyone
have any idea what it is? anyone care to know (i can ask in the interview)?

i decided against putting the Garden Place song on the CD i made (I found a
new baby) but here's how you can get the Garden Place CD and other info on it:

"the Garden Place: Songs for our friends" is a compilation of tracks
donated by North Carolina Triangle artists for this special album. proceeds
from the sale of this CD will benefit Family Violence and Rape Crisis
services and our shelter for victims of sexual assault and domestic
violence, the Garden Place. FVRC, located in Chatam NC, is a non-profit
agency dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence in our homes and
community through programs of education, prevention, and intervention.
If you or someone you knoe is a victim of domestic violenc, contact the
national domestic violence hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. Victims of sexual
assault and their family and friends can contact the RAINN hotline at
1-800-656-HOPE. If you would like more information on how you can help make
a donation, contact Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services at
(919)542-5445 or PO Box 1105, Pittsboro NC 27312.

Track Listing: SNZ (i found a new baby, 5 MINUTES LONG!), Glory Fountain
(The Wars), Two Dollar Pistols (if broken hearts were gold), Portastic
(hurrican warning), Whiskeytown (me and my ticket, GREAT BAND!!), Hobex
(let me live, GREAT BAND!!), hawk's Eye Pope (Devil in the Whiskey), Shark
Quest (Sick Bird Tweed), Faustina (Feels New), Barisal Guns (Cheerished
Delusions), Tift Merrit (Lullaby), Glass (Hey Kid), Darren Jessee (Magic,
GREAT SONG!!!), Jumpstarts (My, My, GREAT SKA BAND), Trailer Bride (from
the rooftop), and Joey Howell (the long road home).

I highly reccomend this CD. not only does it help a great cause, but it's
got a great collection of artists on it. The SNZ song is AWESOME, cuz it's
so damn long, and it's a great live recording of them in Munich. also, if
you like Ben Folds Five, well here's the original recording of Darren
singing "Magic"!!

You can also not only benefit the Garden Place, but also benefit the
Shrubbery by ordering it from Amazon.com for $13.47 at this address:

To Whom it May Concern,

I am Ken Mosher, of the super famous swing band, the Squirrel Nut Zippers. I
am writing on behalf of my friend Clay Walker, who's website has been the
recipient of your complaints.

Clay Walker is a famous cinematographer and director. He is not the OTHER
famous Clay Walker, the country musician, but his works with Metallica, Van
Halen, us, and of course Cindy Crawford are equally meritous in their own
right. Each week, he picks a whiny letter from country star Clay Walker's
fan letters, like yours, and forwards it to
one of his multi-million dollar clients for support. You are this weeks
winner.

I ask that you reconsider your letter, and your accusations toward my friend,
Mr. Walker. I can empathise with Mr. Walker; his day to day life, and his
business, are reliant upon timely receipt of his legitimate e-mails. Because
it is such an incredible task, rumaging through lonely note after note, like
yours, looking for his e-mails
among the Country Star Clay Walker's fan letters, I am helping support him by
responding to your letter.

If anyone should be ashamed, it is you. For you project your own selfish
order on this world, expecting that perhaps every Clay Walker in the county
change his/her name, in order to suit you and your needs. Can you imagine?
I personally know 6 different Michael Richards. The most famous Michael
Richards played Kraemer on the hit show Seinfeld. But if all the other
Michael Richard had to change their names, we'd run out of names, wouldn't
we? Maybe they could change their names to Clay Walker... oh, I guess not.

In closing, I want to assure you that Clay Walker, video producer,
cinematographer is famous. He deserves to keep his name. But if you do a
"Clay Walker" people search on a search engine, you can find an endless list
of Clay Walkers, to whom you can complain. Since they AREN'T famous, perhaps
you will have better luck.

Sincerely, Ken Mosher

Thanks. I'm really not taking it too seriously. I thought Ken's letter was
hilarious however. The farthest I've ever taken the mistaken identity thing
was a country radio station called me from Montana and did an on the air
interview with me and 5 minutes into it realized I wasn't the country

That's so weird that you get harassed for your name, Clay. Until you, i
NEVER heard of Clay Walker The Country Star.

My English prof's name was Paul Brandt (yes, i took the class cuz we had
the same last name) and there is a really famous Canadian (i think) country
star named Paul Brandt.

If anyone ever called him, he's be baffled (not the world's most "with it"
