APRIL 2007
The new issue of
AI Magazine, the official journal of AAAI (Association
for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence), has a special
section on metacognition that was edited by Michael Anderson and
Tim Oates. It was invited based on a Spring 2005 symposium on
metacognition in computation organized by Anderson, Oates, and
John Dunlosky. You can
click here to view the website for the magazine (note,
though, that this issue is not online yet).
The April 23, 2007 issue of
Newsweek (with Don Imus and the Rutgers women's basketball
team on the cover) has a short article on metacognition in rats
and robots on page 51. The article on page 50 might also be of
interest to metacognition researchers, as it deals with snap
judgments and heuristics.
If you come across any other
articles on metacognition in magazines or newspapers, please let
us know so that we can include them on the
publications pages!
