Bio

John Gunstad is an assistant professor of psychology at KSU. He received his bachelors degree in psychology at Moorhead State University (1997), his masters degree in psychology at Ohio University (1999) and his doctorate in clinical psychology at Ohio University(2002). John completed an APA approved internship in clinical neuropsychology at Brown Psychology Training Consortium and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Brown Medical School and The Miriam Hospital. His doctoral mentor was Dr. Julie Suhr and his post-doctoral mentors were Dr. Ronald Cohen and Dr. Robert Paul.

John started at KSU in 2005. He teaches graduate (e.g., Neuropsychological Assessment, Assessment) and undergraduate (e.g., Psychology of Adjustment) courses at KSU. He is licensed as a neuropsychologist in the state of Ohio and supervises clinical psychology graduate students in the Psychology Clinic in Kent Hall. John is also a research associate at Summa Health System’s Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Research Institute.
