DR. JACK'S RULES  for MINIMUM WAGE WORKERS

1. You are not paid enough to be punctual. Report to work fifteen minutes late and sneer at the manager.

2. You are not paid enough to be reliable. Understand completely what to do one day and forget everything the next.

3. Change jobs often. Corporate America knows you are socialized to mediocrity if you stay six months. Get a new job every fifth month and keep them guessing like they do to you with The Schedule.

4. You are not paid enough to be versatile. Refuse to stock shelves if you are a cashier.

5. You are not paid enough to be pushed around. Demand regular hours. If not, immediately go to the next store, get another job, same wages, same time, same computer and at the same level of boredom.

6. The computerized cash register and bar code testify that you are not hired to make decisions. Somebody asks you anything, including the manager - call the manager.

7. You are not paid enough to put up with outrageous customers, stupid questions and arrogance - call the manager.

8. Sabotage the 1-hour photo machine so it works every 2 hours.

9. Hide coupons.

10. Corporate America is using the minimum wage to steal money you justly earned. Go on public assistance and indulge your favorite pastime.

(The minimum wage should be $10/hour without corresponding price increases.)
