Siblings

My brother and I

I have an older brother, LeRonnie. He's 18 months my senior. Here's a picture of us when we were young. I also have five half-brothers and sisters. They are (in order of age):

My sibs and I

The picture with them is from a few years ago; LeRonnie didn't make the shoot. I wasn't very close to any of my younger siblings growing up, but it's something that I want to work on now that we're older.

I grew up living with my mom, Marva, my grandmother, Carleen, and my aunt and uncle Dee Dee and Tom. My mom and aunt are beautiful singers and my grandmother is the strongest person I know. My uncle has a genious I.Q., so talking to him is always challenging and fun. My aunt has a little girl, Aria Diamond Garrett, who turned two in November. I didn't live with my dad, LeRonnie Sr., but we always kept in touch and he's a bigger part of my life than ever before. I have tons of relatives on both sides and I'd love to list them all, but that would be a genealogy project which is better suited for www.tribalpages.com (if you want to see my page, e-mail me and I'll give you my username). I don't have pictures of my family but I love them and wanted to mention them on my site.

Friends

Trio

I met my girlfriends, Ja'Quetta Sudduth and Gina Depenbrok (née Lanham) during my years as a Singing Angel. What's that, you may ask? It is the world-renoun children's chours of Cleveland, Ohio. For more info on them, visit their homepage. I was in the group for six years and they've really expanded since my tenure almost ten years ago. The program is a great service, and I'll discuss them even more on the interests page. Here is a picture of my girlfriends and I, summer of 1995:

Most of my best friends from my school days were guys, but I don't have any pictures (they're in Cleveland; sorry :-) ). Derrick Thomas and I met in 4th Grade and although we've lost touch, my family and his keep in contact with one another. I hung out with Matt Loretitsch (hope I spelled it right) and Raffaele DiLallo from Gilmour, but I was not the easiest person to be friends with back then [I am so sorry I was so terrible back then. I'd love to make it up to you].

I made friends in the OSU Young Scholar's Program, three of whom (Mervin, Scott, & Darrodd) I have pictures of:

Caron and I

I've also managed to make friends in my journey in the real world. Here I am with Caron Daley. She was my choir director for a year at University Baptist Church and we became friends as I would drive her home after rehearsals. She used to make fun of my road rage, saying that everything I said should've been followed up with "damnit". I started saying it and things sounded so rediculous that it helped check my rage

I don't hang out with my friends much anymore, but I try to keep in touch with people when I can.

Married Life

I met my husband, Matthew Monjot, as undergrads at Ohio State in 1996. We haven't been apart since. Our ceremony was July 7, 2001. I tend not to talk too much about my husband because I've been with him so long that I've gotten used to him. He's into role-playing games, computer games, and anything that seems fun at the time.
