    Help Decompilers WinHelp

  • HELPDECO v2.1

HELPDECO is a free command-line Help file decompiler and internal file extractor. Note: unless you are proficient with and comfortable using command-line utilities, I'd recommend that you download and use the Help Compiler Shell to run HELPDECO (see below). If you don't know what a command-line utility is, then you should DEFINITELY download and use the Help Compiler Shell!

    Help Decompiler Shell

Help Decompiler Shell is a "point-and-shoot" GUI for HELPDECO. The company that produces this software has suspended operations pending sale or transfer of assets. However, you may still download and use Help Decompiler Shell indefinitely in its free trial form.

Together, HELPDECO and the Help Decompiler Shell allow you complete access to the internals of Windows RTF-based HLP files, permitting complete decompilation to fully-recompilable source code, including RTF-formatted text and all included bitmaps, or extraction of specific files or data contained within a help file.
  • HTML Help

  • KeyTools

KeyTools extracts the source files from a compiled HTML Help (.chm) or compiled Internet Explorer (.its) file. You can also use KeyTools to recreate a project file (.hhp file) or recompile a help system. Like HELPDECO and the Help Decompiler Shell, KeyTools is free.

PopupEliminator PopupEliminator blocks all annoying pop-up/pop-under advertisements and prevents them from leaving cookies on your system. The program works without any user intervention, sitting in the taskbar quietly until it detects that a popup is about to be spawned from a window. It then intercepts the window call and discards it.
