I am pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Translation at Kent State University

I began working in the oil and gas insdustry shortly after graduation from KSU doing title research and am the proud owner of Katydid and Cricket LLC

I have completed a 4 year degree in German and Anthropology, and translate exclusively from German-English

I have always been interested in foreign language and culture, and have worked in Germany for 6 months working as an aupair. I have an interest in German-developed science, as well as German culture and literature, and have an interest in making these kinds of materials accessible to the English-speaking reader.

Title At-A-Glance

Many people own homes but do not know much about the title of their land

Did you know you may not own the minerals beneath your property?

Reservations on your title may reserve the clay, oil, gas, and timber to individuals you've never met before through prior deed conveyances. Prior deed conveyances (title chains) are frequently over 100 years old in Ohio, and sometimes even over 200 years old. Imagine how many times the title has changed hands since 1812!

Translations-At-A-Glance

I work exclusively from German to English

As a native English speaker, I have a superior command of grammar, syntax, and structure of the English language

I also have a strong command of German, and am currently teaching Elementary German I at Kent State

If you need materials in other language pairs/directions translated, or have materials from German-English you need translated, please do not hesitate to contact me for more information! :)

Translation Emphasis

I have a strong technical/medical background and am hoping to specialize my translation in this field.

I also have a bachelor's (American 4 year degree) in Anthropology and am hoping to translate within this field as well. However, I do also enjoy literary translation

I have a hard time putting down a good book! :)
