This webquest lesson was created at Kent State University with the intention that it be used in conjunction with a fourth-grade level integrated unit about erosion and landforms. It was created in the fall semester of 2004.

The webquest was created with the purposes of:

·        Incorporating information found on the web seamlessly into lessons

·        Encouraging students to use technology as an educational tool

·        Being “fun learning”

·        Furthering student understanding of the erosion processes

·        Providing students with visual information about erosion

·        Encouraging students to look at present day consequences of erosion

·        Allowing students to see impact of erosion on environment
