Biography:
Dr. Marks has served the College of Business in a variety of roles, including ten years as Associate Dean for Administrative and Faculty Affairs, five years as chairperson of the Department of Marketing, and as a member of the Department of Marketing faculty. Dr. Marks has led the Masters International Business Experience to Europe since 2000 and has been a member of the EMBA faculty since "K-9" where he teaches the Marketing Mangaement course. Dr. Marks teaches courses in Consumer Behavior at the undergraduate, Masters, and doctoral level. He has wide ranging research interests in the area of advertising effects, having investigated the effects of context, presentation order, puffery, country-of-origin claims, and repetition of advertising on consumers' processing of advertising. He has also worked with Dr. Michael Mayo on the development and testing of models of marketing and consumer ethical decision making. Dr. Marks' work has appeared in The Journal of Advertising, The Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Marketing Review, and The Journal of Marketing Research, and has been discussed in the Wall Street Journal. He has been listed in Who's Who in Advertising. His professional experience includes computer sales, marketing research and sales forecasting, and consulting. |
