    Often a four-bar introduction of music is played.
    This non-progressive 16-bar three-hand dance may be danced anticlockwise around the
              perimeter of the dance area (the line of dance) or danced free that is, be danced
              in the available space while others dance this or another reel rhythm dance.
    Trios dance in a line holding closest (inside) hands throughout the dance; dancers may be
              of either gender but usually a gent in the middle of the trio dances with two ladies.
    Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
    Documentation is based upon a video workshop led by Pat Murphy.

  SET FORMATION   REELS (moderate to slow) (Variable BARS)
All trios: REPEAT "MARKER" facing forward in the lod, dance to the side :   left (down) -2-3, sideways
          right (down) -2-3, sideways left-2-3 then sideways right-2-3;
          movement sideways is slight and approximates dancing in-place4;
beginning on the left foot, walk in the lod (step, step, step, kick)2;
beginning on the right foot, walk backward against the lod (step, step,
          step, step)2;
while the gent dances in-place, form two arches and the ladies dance one turn
          under the arch; ladies begin turn the lady under by facing the middle of
          the trio; thus the lady on gent's right turns anticlockwise and the dancer
          on the gent's left turns clockwise; all end the four-bar pattern dancing
          in-place4;
beginning on the left foot, walk in the lod (step, step, step, kick)2;
beginning on the right foot, walk backward against the lod (step, step,
          step, step)2;
repeat from   REPEAT "MARKER"   as desired.
