|  | This set is from County Down, Ireland and was typical ballroom-dancing | 
| during the early 1800s. | |
|  | Partners should acknowledge (bow/curtsey) one another then their corner-partners during | 
| the introduction of each Figure. | |
|  | Tempo: the speed of the music should be moderate to slow. | 
|  | Steps: all steps are to be danced gently with absolutely no battering; except as shown below, | 
| the ordinary polka and jig step is to be danced throughout the set  down-2-3. | |
|  | Swing in waltz hold. | 
|  | Gents begin forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot. | 
|  | Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold. |
