    This set is from County Laois, Ireland.
    Chain:  Low follow   With a waist-level hold for all contacts, ladies first take right
              hands in the center and dance on to the opposite gent (who has danced into his
              partner's position); partners take left hands and dance anticlockwise around one
              another (no arch); ladies dance to home without chaining in the center.
              Note the added turn in Figure Two.
    Swing in ceili hold.
    Steps:  Dance two threes forward (for lead around and advance) or backward (for
              retire) then dance two threes on-the-spot.  Dance the latter with a down on the
              inside foot then a heel-toe-heel-toe-heel-toe batter with the outside foot;
              repeat the down and batter.
    Gents dance forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot.
    Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
    The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
    First side couple is on the right of the first top couple.

  SET FORMATION   FIGURE 1 -- JIGS (184 BARS)
Dance a down jig (down-2-3) and the steps shown in the heading.
All couples: lead around anticlockwise, right-hand-in-right, dancing the steps at each position16.
Top couples: REPEAT "MARKER" lead around, anticlockwise, right-hand-in right (hands held high), turning the
          lady, at each position (ladies should dance ahead of gents)8;
advance and retire once, dancing the steps in the center and at home8;
gents give left hands in the center and take partner's right hand in-front and
          lead around, anticlockwise, turning the lady with a sweeping movement
          at each position; (the sweeping movement perhaps resembles the arc of a
          threshing tool being used to harvest crops); start the arc at waist-level
          each time; ladies dance the steps while turning and gents dance
          the steps in-place16;

          top couple forms an arch for the second top couple to pass under, with
          the lady leading for all passes-under; at the opposite side of the set,
          partners turn-in to one another and take the other inside hands; the
          second top couple forms the arch for the first top couple to pass-under8;

second top couple swing across and leave the lady beside the first top man
           the first top gent takes the ladies' outside hands at their shoulders as both

          for both) facing the opposite partner2;

          dancing out, dance down (gents right, ladies, left) and the other foot
          up/across in front then other foot up/across in front then down one,
          down two; on the second retire, end with down one, down two,
          down three (that is, step, step, step)8;
swing in ceili hold8;
REPEAT  "MARKER" lead around anticlockwise, right-hand-in-right, with the gents dancing the steps
          and turning the lady with a sweeping movement at each position as
          in Figure One; (however, the turn the lady is sometimes omitted
          in Figure Six)16;
take hands in a circle and advance and retire twice as above and ladies dance
          to the next gent on the right on the final two bars8;
