| | KILTIMAGH HALF SET |
| © 2008
    Larry E. Taylor | |
| | Only the first three Figures are danced as a half set. |
| | Swing in ceili hold. |
| | Chain: Low follow -- With a waist-level hand hold for all contacts, the ladies take |
| right-hand-in-right-hand in the center then left-hand-in-left-hand with the opposite | |
| gent; the lady dances around the gent and he follows her (no arch); couples | |
| release left hands and the ladies dance back to home, without touching in the center. | |
| | Gents begin dancing forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot. |
| | Crossover: Holding crossed-hands, couples dance forward to face the position on the left |
| (that is, dance clockwise)2, then backward to opposite2; this crossover must be | |
| danced fluidly with no delays at the side position; the lady must move slightly ahead | |
| of the gent when both are dancing forward; the gent must move slightly ahead | |
| of the lady when both are dancing backward. | |
| | Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold. |
| | The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music. |
| | First couple: In this half set, the First couple begins with backs to the music (as does First |
| Top Couple in a full set). However, if determined before the music starts, the couples | |
| orientation can be otherwise. There is no First couple in the final figure. | |
