    This set from County Roscommon, Ireland is also known as the NORTH ROSCOMMON SET.
    Gents dance forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot.
    Bar-counts for dance patterns are shown in bold.
    The total bar-count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music. 
    Dance it out :  Partners face one another and dance on-the-spot, without touching.
    First side is on the right of First Top.
    The traditional step for reels is  two heel-bounces with two opposite toe-taps then
          down with the front (tapping) foot1; repeat beginning with the opposite foot
          leading1.  For jigs, the traditional step is  back/down on the leading foot (gents
          right, ladies left), batter-down; repeat beginning with the opposite foot leading.

 SET FORMATION   FIGURE 1 -- REELS (272 BARS)
Dance and ordinary reel step for swings and steps as shown.
Top couples: REPEAT "MARKER" ladies crossover to opposite, passing right-shoulder-to-
          right-shoulder2;
gents crossover to opposite, passing left-shoulder-to-left-shoulder2;
repeat the two lines above to respective homes4;
dance it out (as in the heading; dance the steps twice then down-flat,
          down-flat, down-flat, one-two-three2)  8;
swing in ceili hold8.
Side couples: repeat from  REPEAT "MARKER"  24.
Top couples: REPEAT "MARKER"REPEAT "MARKER" first top gent/second top lady: beginning right-shoulder-to-right,
          dance a back-to-back in the center and end facing one another8;
swing in ceili hold in the center6; non-swinging partners dance in and
          tops take hands in a circle2;
Top couples: contrary clockwise (right shoulders into the circle, dancing in a file
          formation)6; reverse directions to have left shoulders into the circle2;

          dance to and give left hands to the opposite gent at waist-level;
          couples dance around one another anticlockwise then the ladies
          again pinwheel as they dance to home8.

Dance down-batter/down, down-batter/down, down-batter/down
       or an ordinary jig step (down-2-3).
Top couples: take right-hand-in-right and advance2; still holding right hands, gents retire straight
          back and ladies dance anticlockwise to face partners2;
crossover on the left with the ladies dancing backward to-place and the gents
          dancing forward then turning anticlockwise to-place (backs-into place)4.
Side couples: repeat the four lines above8.
All couples: beginning right-hand-in-right, chain all around (gents anticlockwise, ladies clockwise)12; 
          dance it out4;
swing in ceili hold8;
Top couples: as above, take right-hand-in-right and advance2; still holding right hands, gents
          retire straight back and ladies dance anticlockwise to face partners2;
as above, crossover on the left with the ladies dancing backward to-place and

REPEAT "MARKER" first top couple:  take right-hand-in-right and dance across to the opposite

          couple2; second top lady moves beside the first top gent, taking his left 
          hand in her left hand; the first top gent pulls-the-hands to an across-the-
          shoulders hold while the second top gent takes the ladies’inside hands2;
          as a trio-and-one (T-formation or wheelbarrow), dance across the set2;
          the second top gent pulls the hands to an across-the-shoulders hold with
          the first top gent holding the ladies’ inside hands2;

the new trio-and-one:  dance across the set2; dance on-the-spot2;

          dance to the center2;
          ladies face one another and all form a circle-of-four2;
          little Christmas6; reverse to home2.

Dance an ordinary polka step (down-2-3) and as shown below.
All couples: REPEAT "MARKER" long quarterhouse (body) :
          in waltz hold, dance in-place (or slightly in and out) twice4;
          turning clockwise, dance to the next position on the right2;
          dance on-the-spot with a lively--but low-to-the-floor--tap and tap,
          tap and tap and tap-tap-tap (heel emphasis)2;
          repeat the preceding eight-bar pattern three times24;
Top couples: in waltz hold, house around each other8;
gents dance past one another right-shoulder-to-right to the next lady on the
          right and take waltz hold4;
make one turn with the lady and face into the set2; dance tap and tap, tap
          and tap and tap-tap-tap2;
      [Alternative for the preceding four bars:  swing in waltz hold.]
gents repeat the preceding eight-bar pattern with each lady-on-the-right
          to re-establish original partners at home24.
