    This set, from County Galway, Ireland, is also known as the GALWAY REEL SET
              and THE GALWAY SET.
    The music type and bar-count for the Figures coincide with those of the EAST
              GALWAY SET (short).
    Swing in waltz hold.
    Except for sixteen bars of Figure Four, all couples dance simultaneously.
    In the first, second and fifth figures, couples dance with a couple on their left or right;
              even during REPEATS, the same pairings are danced; that is, Side Couples turn
              to their right and Top Couples turn to their left to begin the patterns.
    Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
    The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
    Documentation is based upon workshops taught by Connie Ryan (Cape May, New Jersey
              USA, October 1996) and Pat Murphy (Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA, August 1998).
    Mr. Ryan taught the traditional step as down-2-3-4; the down is a gentle lift then a drop
              on the heel, beginning with the gent's right and the lady's left; dancers would then
              dance forward on the opposite feet (gents on the left, ladies on the right); the
              advance and retire is often danced with the five-step (step, step, 3-4-5).
