Final report
|
A written, critical analysis of the internship
experience and your performance is required for the Final Report. It should
be a minimum of 800 words. It should be written in narrative form (i.e.,
don't list the following questions and answer them) and it will be graded
based on the fact that you are a college level senior and should possess
appropriate writing skills. Hence, grammatical errors and mis-spelled words
will affect your grade. Address the following in your report:

From your internship experience, examine the
qualifications
and attributes of a successful person in your immediate supervisor's
position.

From your internship experience, examine the
qualifications
and attributes of a successful intern in position you held.

Briefly discuss your most positive learning
experience during the internship.

What skills, knowledge, and attitudes did
you acquire?

Of the newly acquired skills, knowledge, and/or
attitudes, were you lacking any that should have been part of your education?

Breifly comment and evaluate your employer
on the following:

assistance/training to help you learn your
job effectively
-
attitude toward providing a meaningful internship
experience
-
support provided to you throughout your internship
experience
-
direction / goal setting to ensure your internship
was productive
-
communication and feedback throughout the
experience
-
overall supervision was effective and meaningful
for you
-
Describe your on the job personal strengths
and weaknesses.

Describe how this experience will influence
you in the immediate future, whether you are completing course work or
will be looking for further work.

List any suggestions for improving the FD&M
internship program.
The final report is confidential and
will not be shared with your supervisor or company but may be shared with
future student interns.
