I’m a Masters Student in Geology at Kent State University in Northeastern Ohio.  I’m in the Coastal Hazards Research Group lead by my advisor, Dr. Andrew Moore.  My Masters project is on sedimentation from the landfall of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast Barrier Islands.  Check out my research page for more info...

I grew up in Minneapolis, MN, and then lived 5 years in Northern California getting my B.S. and working for an environmental services company.  I started at Kent in 2005 to get my Masters and I’m about half-way there!

Text Box: Breaking News - My 2006 GSA abstract has been accepted, and I’ll be giving a talk on

“SEDIMENTATION FROM 2005 HURRICANE KATRINA ON THE MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA GULF COAST BARRIER ISLANDS”

in Philadelphia on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Look for me in the Geology in the National Parks: Research, Mapping, and Resource Management Session

Turning Plato and Hegel on their heads I sometimes choose to think, no doubt perversely, that man is a dream, thought an illusion, and only rock is real.   Rock and Sun.”
