A very active local group. CRCST holds two conferences per year (Spring and Fall).

Center for Mathematics and Science Education, Teaching, and Technology
CMSETT holds math workshops and science workshops every summer, although none are on the secondary level.

Science Education Council of Ohio
SECO holds one large annual conference per year. Next conference: February 8-10, 2007 in Dayton.

National Science Teachers Association
Nice practitioner's journal--The Science Teacher
NSTA holds three regional conferences per year. Next (close) conference: November 2-4, 2006 in Baltimore.

Physics Teaching:

Ohio Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers
A very active local group. Two excellent workshops per year (Spring and Fall). FREE membership to students, although there is still a minor conference fee. Next conference Saturday, October 8 at Kent State!

American Association of Physics Teachers
Excellent practitioner's journal: The Physics Teacher
Students can join for only $20 per year (normally $80 per year).
