ESTHE-

aesthetic, of or concerning the appreciation of beauty or good taste
aesthete, one who cultivates an unusually high sensitivity to beauty, as in art or nature; one who is highly sensitive to art and beauty
anesthetic, anaesthetic, (anesthesia) an agent that causes loss of sensation with or without the loss of consciousness
kinesthetic, pertaining to muscle sense, that is, of motor control of one's body

holocaust, great or total destruction, especially by fire; a sacrificial offering that is consumed entirely by flames
holistic, dealing with whole, integrated systems rather than parts
holography, a method of producing a three-dimensional image of an object
catholic, of broad scope; comprehensive; including or concerning all humankind; universal

 

IATR- physician, medicine

pediatrics, the branch of medicine that deals with problems specific to children
psychiatric, the branch of medicine that deals with problems specific to the mind
geriatrics, the branch of medicine that deals with problems specific to the aged
podiatry, the branch of medicine that deals with problems specific to the foot
iatrogenic, caused by the doctor, or by being in the hospital ("~ illness")

 

PEP(T)- to digest

pepsin, stomach enzyme
dyspeptic, pertaining to indigestion
Pepsi, (name conjures up image of being an aid to digestion)

 

TECHN- art, skill, craft

technical, involving the practical, mechanical, or industrial arts or the applied sciences; abstract or theoretical
polytechnic, dealing with instruction in many industrial arts and applied sciences
technology, the application of science, especially to industrial or commercial objectives
pyrotechnics, the art of manufacturing or setting off fireworks
