C. 2510-2460 Of the Old Kingdom of Egypt produced sculptures of not only kings but of lesser figures of prominence. Here the sculpted  and painted limestone from the fifth Dynasty shows a livelier portrait. One might assume this is a realistic portrayal of the lower class but it is quite typical of this time. The expression in the eyes and face plus the hair are all symptoms on this.

Live Impressions: MUCH smaller than expected. Evident glass eyes, yet it gives a life like effect. Larger/fatter physic than expected. Flabby/large rear end. Reddish skin and older features than expected.
