The interior reflects tradition, with its heavy walls and tall arcade.  Emphasis on the horizontal movement, it redirects the viewers attention to the altar, rather than upward into the vaults.

Live Impressions:


The nave had better lighting than Westminster Abbey because it was so much more open. Also the artificial lighting was soft yet effective. Above the alter the stained glass was a modern yet reflected the classical style of that time. Although substandard throughout, the windows did not seemt hat clashing. Also the atmosphere was of splendor and happiness unlike Westminster. The crypts were few and pretty.
