
Sehwan situated on the right bank of the Aral that flows from
the Manchar Lake into the Indus about 87 miles from Kotri. It is one of the
oldest towns of Sindh. It was the capital of one of the five provinces of the
Hindu kingdom of Sindh in the 7th century. Sehwan is very important
town because of the mausoleum of Sheikh Usman Merwandi generally known as Lal
Shahbaz. Lal Shahbaz died in 1350 AD and his mausoleum constructed in 1356 by
the emperor Feroz Shah Tughluk. Sehwan is known as the Ajmar of Sindh because of
shrine.
