Ohio is the home of more presidents of the United States than any other state. A visit to a presidential site can be a valuable learning experience and therefore suitable for a certain amount of academic credit. Two extra-credit points will be added to your grade for the course if you bring back evidence (ticket stub, brochure, etc.) of having visited one of the following sites of former presidents who grew up in Northeast Ohio and write a ½ page paper reflecting on your visit:

1) James A. Garfield National Historic Site: http://www.nps.gov/jaga/

or the James A. Garfield Birthplace: http://www.morelandhills.com/historical.html

2) McKinley Birthplace Memorial:  http://www.mckinley.lib.oh.us/memorial.htm
