1975-1976         Assistant Professor (Part‑time), Department of Speech and Drama, Georgia Southern College, Statesboro, Georgia. Taught speech fundamentals and public relations.

1972-1975       Teaching/Research Assistant, Department of Speech Communica­tion, University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois. Taught group discussion and traditional and anxiety sections of the basic course. Assisted faculty research in cognitive development processes.

1971-1972         Instructor, Messiah College, Grantham, Pennsylvania. Taught advanced public speaking, supervised speech instruc­tion for all freshmen and sophomores, and developed speech anxiety curriculum.

ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

 Graduate Coordinator, School of Communication Studies, Kent State University, 1988‑1992, 1998-2004. Admitted students, coordinated assistantships, prepared catalog and promotional materials, served on University‑wide Graduate Council, advised new graduate students, and determined graduate scheduling.

 Director, Communication Research Center, School of Communication Studies Kent State University, 1983‑1988, 1992‑1998. Facilitated research grants and training workshops, established library, coor­dinated audio‑visual equipment, prepared promotional materials, and oversaw budget.

 Coordinator, Communication Discipline, University of Wisconsin‑‑Park­side, 1979‑1981. Prepared class schedules, recruited/hired commu­nication faculty, prepared catalog and promotional materials, coor­dinated advising program, represented faculty on the Division Coor­dinating Committee, assisted preparation of annual budget.
