Class presentation

Students are required to select one of the topics listed on the syllabus and prepare a presentation for the class. The presentation can include an introduction, meaning of concepts, features, costs, business and personal application, types, recent developments, examples of companies that significantly benefited or suffered by employing a particular type of hardware/software/IS (at least 3 examples). The textbook, "Management Information Systems: Managing the Digital Firm" by Kenneth C. Laudon and Jane P. Laudon, can be used as a starting point.

Time: 25-30 minutes

Method: whatever you choose; strive to make it interesting; most presentations should be done in Power Point unless you think something else would be more effective

Class participation: Prepare at least 5 open-ended questions (no "yes/no" questions) for class discussion

Opinion: Give your recommendation on how the technology can best solve a business problem.

References:

·        E-mail the instructor all bibliographical information about your references before your presentation; have any Internet references display as links in your e-mail

·        You should have at least 3 references

·        At least one should be a print (non-Internet) reference

·        Make sure any URL’s are working and lead to the specific place you got your information, not the homepage of the site
