I am a communication professional with experience of teaching, curriculum design and multimedia works. I came to journalism as a second career after teaching ESL, Technical Writing and Media Studies at Kathmandu University, Nepal. I have worked at the Asia-Pacific Division of the United Nations in New York and take freelance assignments from the World Bank.

At Kent State, I have acquired advanced skills in convergence journalism and expect to be a productive addition in a media team.

Presently, my areas of interest are international news, South Asian affairs, online journalism, social media and producing Web videos.
