THEORY I students need to install the Preparatory Presets

  • Register your software and obtain the MGS file (Instructions are in the CD Case)

  • Make a copy of your MGS file

    • Open the folder containing the file

    • Select the file

    • Copy the file

    • past the file - You now have another file that is called  "Copy of .......MGS)

    • Rename this file "your name PREP PRESETS.MGS"

Now you can install the Prep -Presets using the following directions

Installing the prep Presets Library

  • Download the following file to your computer:
  • Prep Presets & Libraries.zip
  • Open the compressed folder (in XP double click)
  • Drag or copy the folder "prep presets and libraries" either to your desktop, to "your documents", to the MacGamut folder or actually anywhere you want
  • Start MacGamut using the Prep_preset. MGS file - you will see a similar screen:

  • If the current preset is not "prep" click on change presets
In the next screen navigate to the Prep Presets & Libraries folder - Click on Prep Presets 2003.mgp and select
    OPEN
  • Agree to the following screens and you are ready to use Macgamut with the prep presets
  • Unless you use a different computer or move the preset folder you should not have to repeat this procedure

Returning to the Original Presets

  • download Reset Original Presets 2003.mgp and save it to your computer
  • At the Macgamut introductory screen select change presets and select the file you downloaded. The original presets are now restored and all of your levels have been reset to ZERO.
