Workshop Levels

I. Foundations  "Exploring the Multiple Intelligences" 

- 2 Unit workshop, 1 credit. This workshop is now available both online as well as offered on site at your school upon request to the College of Continuing Studies at Kent State. This workshop (or other pertinent experience) is the prerequisite for the other workshops. This workshop provides an in-depth review of the multiple intelligences and their many applications. It is appropriate for all students, teachers and anyone interesting in learning more about human intelligence. 

II. Practitioner: Level A  "Teaching in the MI-Inspired Classroom "    

- 2 Unit, 1 credit. This workshop is  available on the Kent State campus during the summer as a weeklong full day workshop.  Districts may also place a special request through Continuing Studies to a schedule Practitioner workshop in their local area. This workshop is designed primarily for teachers who wish to enhance their understanding of and skill in designing MI-inspired lesson plans, curriculum and authentic forms of assessment. 

III. Practitioner: Level B     "Beyond the MI Classroom"       

- 2 Unit, 1 credit. This workshop provides strategies for implementing MI-inspired ideas for enhancing individual development, achievement, career planning and motivation. The relationship between MI and learning styles and intrinsic  motivation will be covered.  It is appropriate for educators, counselors, psychologists, tutors and others.
