| To be well informed, one
must read quickly a great number of merely instructive books. To be
cultivated, one must read slowly and with a lingering appreciation
the comparatively few books that have been written by [those] who
lived, thought, and felt with style. -Aldous Huxley |
I do not know what I may appear to the
world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on
the seashore, and diverting myself now and then finding a smoother
pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of
truth lay all undiscovered before me. -Isaac Newton |
| Truth does not change
according to our ability to stomach it. -Flannery O'Connor |
It is error only, and not
truth, that shrinks from inquiry. -Thomas Paine |
|
If we knew what it was we were
doing, it would not be called research, would it? - Albert
Einstein |
