He joined AEC technical information program at Oak Ridge in 1946. He held several positions between 1946-1955 including chief of activities, Oak Ridge 1956. In 1958, he moved to Director, Technical information division, AEC 1958. At NASA, he was Deputy director, Office of technical information and education, 1960. First director, Technical information division 1962; Deputy assistant administrator for Technology Utilization 1966; Head, Office of science information service, NSF 1971; 1972 transferred to NLM, became deputy director; Director of NTIS; Currently employed with Globenet Inc. in Alexandria, VA.
AWARDS: 1971 NASA Exceptional Service Award(NASA); 1975 Director Award(NLM); 1976 Public Health Service Superior Service Award.
