Quest ~ Presentation Guidelines
The
following points will help your group prepare to present your nominee
to the (AWARD NAME) Committee. Remember
that your presentation should be and overall summary of why your group
thinks your candidate is the best possible choice.
Present your nominee as if he/she is someone you have known.
These are some things that your group should remember:
- There
will be no use of note cards or written material.
Information should be relayed, not read.
- You
should have eye contact at all times with your audience (this does
not include the floor or ceiling).
- You
should use a loud, clear voice, so everyone in the audience can
hear you speaking.
- You
should not hide behind a desk or lean up against a wall. Present
yourself with good posture and occasionally move around.
- Practice
any words that you may have trouble pronouncing. Correct any
grammatical errors before you make your presentation. It is a good
idea to practice what you will be saying with someone else so they
can catch any errors that they may hear.
